No-Till Garden Bed Establishment
No-till gardening is a great way to build healthy, productive soil without the tilling repeatedly. We begin by using organic methods to terminate the grass and weeds, add any necessary amendments, then we apply a very deep layer of compost about 6 inches. We like to use wood chip mulch for the walkways in between beds because they suppress weeds, retain moisture and feed the soil as they break down.
No-till beds retain moisture, supports beneficial microbes, and reduce erosion. Whether you're starting a new garden or transitioning to a no-till system, we'll set up your beds so they're ready for planting.
